BAE Systems appointed Rapiergroup to deliver and manage its Annual General Meeting at Farnborough International Venue & Events (FIVE). The event needed to provide a welcoming and accessible experience for shareholders while maintaining the highest levels of safety and security for employees, senior leadership and board members.

Working as an extension of the BAE Systems team, Rapiergroup was responsible for every aspect of delivery, including event logistics, venue management, project management and production. Close collaboration with the client’s security team ensured that robust measures were integrated seamlessly into the visitor journey, including airport-style search procedures on arrival.

The challenge was to balance a highly secure environment with an experience that felt open, informative and engaging. Following the formal AGM proceedings and shareholder Q&A session on a bespoke stage, visitors were invited to explore an interactive exhibition environment where they could discover the latest technologies, innovations and programmes shaping the future of BAE Systems.

The result was a carefully managed event that successfully combined security, accessibility and engagement. Shareholders were able to interact directly with technology, learn more about the organisation’s work and engage with the people behind the innovations, all within a secure and professionally managed environment that reflected the strength and reputation of the BAE Systems brand.
