BAE Systems Farnborough
Turning a 3,600m² blank canvas into a standout corporate experience
Where innovation meets experience.
Every two years, Farnborough International Airshow brings together the world’s leading aerospace and defence organisations. For BAE Systems, the challenge was to create a distinctive corporate presence within a purpose-built 3,600m², two-storey pavilion while achieving significant capital savings compared to previous years.
Rather than replicate the lavish exhibition environments of the past, Rapiergroup developed a bold new approach that embraced the pavilion’s raw architectural form. By treating the structure itself as a creative asset, we created an industrial aesthetic that felt authentic, contemporary and purposeful.
Light and projection became the primary storytelling tools, transforming the vast space into a dynamic corporate environment that showcased key messages, supported business engagement and enhanced the visitor experience. The flexible design approach allowed content to become part of the architecture, creating visual impact throughout the pavilion without relying on costly scenic treatments.
The result was a confident, business-focused environment that balanced creativity with practicality. By combining innovative design thinking with a solutions-led delivery approach, Rapiergroup helped BAE Systems establish a new benchmark for its presence at Farnborough, delivering a memorable visitor experience while achieving substantial cost efficiencies.
