Balancing brand identity and security
Following our rich heritage within the aerospace, defence and security sector, BAE Systems asked us to deliver and manage their Annual General Meeting at Farnborough International Venue & Events (FIVE).
We were tasked with delivering an AGM itinerary and environment that would provide maximum value and accessibility for visiting shareholders, while ensuring the safety and security of all BAE Systems employees and senior team members. Rapiergroup would be responsible for all elements of the event, including logistics, production, and venue and project management.
Working closely with BAE Systems’ own security team, airport-style search facilities were provided for delegates on entry. Having hosted a Q&A session with shareholders on our bespoke stage, the BAE Systems board then personally welcomed visitors to our exhibition space. There, we allowed shareholders to learn about and interact with the company’s latest pioneering technology and the people doing remarkable, important work. Innovations were presented in the wider context of the company’s wider partnership with UK Sport – for example, showing how the British Olympics team use BAE Systems technology in their equipment – all part of a creative strategy designed to make complex technology understood and accessible to all visitors.
